Fund Camp is an expansive major donor training program started by two fundraising experts with a combined 35 years of experience in raising serious money for all kinds of causes.

Moe and Beka met over a decade ago on the development team at Conservation Colorado, where they made an amazing team. Now they're working together again — not only because they want to help nonprofits step into their fundraising power, but because as longtime nature lovers and now parents and partners to a gaggle of adventurers, they want to leave the world a better place.

Beka Whitson

Beka believes that everyone has the innate power to raise money for the causes they care about. For over 20 years, Beka has led strategic fundraising efforts for political, advocacy, and community organizations. That includes launching a statewide 501(c)(4) organization as its first Executive Director, overseeing fundraising for the leading conservation advocacy organization in Colorado for nearly a decade, and leading a development team through an organizational merger.

Beka founded Whitson Strategies in 2018 with her wife, Sarah, and has since coached staff and board members at over 30 arts, conservation, civic engagement, and faith organizations to fundraise more effectively, navigate leadership changes, cultivate major donors, and more. Her passion for nurturing the fundraiser in everyone continues to drive her every day. In addition, she recently gained a certificate in Impact Philanthropy Advising and brings tailored advice on how donors can be cultivated to give to organizations beyond just cash.

Moe Leneweaver

Moe has been fundraising since she sold her first box of Girl Scout cookies. Her professional career has taken her from raising money through small gifts as a grassroots community organizer to securing $500,000 gifts from major donors. Her fundraising style is rooted in building relationships — getting to know what donors care deeply about and drawing connections between their values and the impact that organizations are making. Her strengths as a fundraiser and as a coach lie in her curiosity, follow-through, and systematic way of thinking.
