Build a major donor program your nonprofit can actually sustain, no matter your size.

Fund Camp is a hands-on, major donor fundraising training program for small and mid-sized nonprofits. Your team gets expert coaching, real-world practice, donor messaging support, and stronger systems so you can confidently build relationships and ask for bigger gifts.

Three months. Up to three team members. Three organizations per cohort.

Why Fund Camp?

Most fundraising training tells you what to do.
Fund Camp helps you do it.

You’ll work with experienced fundraisers on the donors, messaging, systems, and challenges your organization is dealing with right now. You’ll practice what you’re learning with coaches and peers, receiving feedback and accountability along the way.

Small cohorts. Personalized support. Real fundraising work.

Fund Camp is built for small- to midsize nonprofit teams that are ready to grow beyond grants.

Fund Camp could be a great fit for you if:

  • Your organization depends heavily on grants and wants to build individual giving.

  • You have loyal donors but suspect some could give significantly more.

  • Your staff knows fundraising matters, but nobody feels fully confident making major gift asks.

  • Your donor information, follow-up, or relationship tracking lives in too many spreadsheets and inboxes.

  • Your board wants fundraising results but needs clearer roles and better tools.

  • You’ve learned a lot on your own and are ready for expert feedback on what you’re already doing.

We believe successful training programs have three key elements: you learn from experts AND your peers, you get ample time to practice, and there’s fun(d) to be had.
Fund Camp has all three!

Why We Do This

Small nonprofits shouldn’t have to stay small because fundraising expertise is out of reach.

Major donor fundraising is one of the most powerful ways to build sustainable revenue, but too many nonprofit teams are expected to figure it out through trial and error.

We built Fund Camp so smaller organizations can access the kind of fundraising strategy, coaching, systems, and practice that are often reserved for organizations with large development departments.

Fund Camp is a program of Whitson Strategies.

Beka founded Whitson Strategies in 2018 and has since coached staff and board members at more than 30 nonprofit organizations. Together, Beka and Moe bring a combined 35 years of fundraising experience to Fund Camp.

  • We don’t leave you in the wilderness with a long list of suggestions on top of your already full to-do list. We walk alongside you, helping you to navigate the tools, timing, and tactical skills to reach a new peak of major gift fundraising.
