The Experience
If you’re ready to help your donors transform their passion for your organization and cause into bigger gifts (that will help them accomplish even more good in the world!), but don’t want to spin your wheels forever trying to figure it out on your own, Fund Camp is the place for you.
Support from A to Z
- Fund Camp will help you identify and cultivate the donors to your organization who demonstrate the greatest potential to give more — much more — than they are currently giving.
- Fund Camp will shine a spotlight on how you’re currently raising money from donors and quickly move to action steps that will have you making bigger asks in just a few months.
How it Works
There are five main elements to Fund Camp’s 3-month program:
Workshops
Weekly workshops with other cohort participants + up to three staff and/or board members from your team.
-
Topics that will be covered in the weekly workshops include:
Building your major gifts mindset
Securing major donor meetings – and making them highly-effective and profitable
Updating your major donor materials so they support your big asks
Retaining and attracting major donors
Activating your board to raise more
Improving your tracking systems and strategies
Perfecting The Ask
And more!
Coaching
Weekly coaching and skills-building sessions focused directly on your organization and your needs.
Action Steps & Reflections
Weekly suggested action steps and reflections to keep you improving and moving forward.
Asynchronous Drafting, Editing, and Troubleshooting
Support from our team to draft/edit your fundraising materials, guide your major donor outreach efforts, and answer your burning questions.
Ongoing Support
In the first two months, you’ll learn and build your major gifts skills. In the third month, we’ll be available — via up to 8 hours of support — as your sounding board as you launch your new or revamped major gifts program!
The time commitment for your organization is estimated at 3-4 hours/week for the first month, 4-5 hours/week for the second month, and an optional 1-2 hours/week in continued “office hours” support throughout the third month.
How We’re Different
Fund Camp’s unique curriculum speaks for itself:
Builds confidence to make BIG asks now
It is structured to be an intensive program and build your fundraising muscle. If you’ve ever done a bootcamp, HIIT, or Crossfit you know the feeling of doing high intensity workouts that work lots of different muscles to their max over a short amount of time. Fund Camp will include some of that energy. With coaches that have been in your shoes, we’re here to encourage you as you push up against, and beyond, the limit of what you have previously tried (or thought you were capable of) in major donor fundraising. It is also efficient; rather than taking six months to a year to get your major gifts program going, you’ll do it in three months and be off and running.
We keep it personal
We are only taking on a maximum of three organizations for each Fund Camp, which means we will be able to dedicate our focus to your organization, your goals, and your specific challenges.
Coaching, guidance + materials; all customized to your needs
This means done-for-you templates and scripts that reflect your branding and organizational voice. We will also take the time to learn your major donors’ backgrounds and motivations so we can help you hone in on the best outreach strategies.
Learn as a team.
Fund Camp is meant to equip your whole team, so each organization is allowed up to three staff or board members to take part. The more of you who are able to learn these skills and understand what it takes to launch or re-vamp a major donor program, the more quickly you will be raising larger gifts. In addition, during the weekly workshops, you will learn from what the other organizations in your cohort are trying and struggling with.
